Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Water Hygiene/Treatment Engineer to support installation, servicing and maintenance of water systems across London, Central and South England. You will work on purification and distribution systems, including pipework, tanks, and control systems, ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The role requires driving, physical work, Confined Space training, and flexibility to travel across the UK, with opportunities for progression in a growing sustainable water solutions company.

Qualifications

  • Experience with water treatment, filtration systems and related equipment.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Confined Space trained with valid certification and medical.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain, and refurbish water treatment and filtration systems.
  • Install and support water purification systems and associated components.
  • Inspect tanks, valves, and pipework, reporting defects and recommending repairs.
  • Isolate, dismantle, and assess plumbing and system equipment.
  • Drain, clean, disinfect, and recommission water systems in line with hygiene standards.
  • Inspect and assess control systems, identifying faults and performance issues.
  • Carry out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing.
  • Work safely in confined spaces, following all site safety procedures.
  • Support scheduled works and resolve operational issues as required.
  • Act as a technical lead within the UK support function when required.

The Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Water Hygiene/Treatment Engineer to support the installation, servicing, and maintenance of water systems across London, Central, and South England.

You will work on a range of water purification and distribution systems, including pipework, control systems, water tanks, and associated equipment, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and refurbish water treatment and filtration systems
  • Install and support water purification systems and associated components
  • Inspect tanks, valves, and pipework, reporting defects and recommending repairs
  • Isolate, dismantle, and assess plumbing and system equipment
  • Drain, clean, disinfect, and recommission water systems in line with hygiene standards
  • Inspect and assess control systems, identifying faults and performance issues
  • Carry out both Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive servicing

Requirements
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Physically fit and able to carry out manual work
  • Confined Space trained (valid certification and medical required)
  • Experience working with water treatment, filtration systems, and associated equipment
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Willingness to travel across the UK when required
Preferred Experience
  • Plumbing and/or electrical experience
  • Experience working with water treatment or purification systems
