Job Opportunity: Water Field Service and Maintenance Engineer

Salary: £29K plus Vehicle and on call allowance, excellent pension, 25 days holiday

Location: Field based, covering East of England (Ipswich, Norwich, Colchester, and Chelmsford)

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday plus one in four on call rota

Are you a competent Water Field Service and Maintenance Engineer looking to work for a large, growing utilities group? This role offers long-term career development opportunities.

The position is field-based, covering a regional patch (all sites within 2 hours' drive). There are opportunities to increase earnings through the on call rota, and a vehicle is provided.

The role involves undertaking routine maintenance and providing a site presence for the office-based team to address issues and incidents as they arise.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full-time, permanent role offering excellent long-term opportunities.
2. Undertake basic asset management tasks, such as meter exchanges, handling customer queries, and crossed meters.
3. Maintain the quality and integrity of the network as part of a structured audit strategy.
4. Manage work schedules, calls, administration, and inventory efficiently to optimize time and meet business metrics.

The Person

• Experience working on water mains networks.
• Experience operating valves, washouts, fire hydrants.
• Experience in leak detection work.
• UK driving licence.
