BUUK Infrastructure is seeking a Water Field Technician based in the Basingstoke area, covering Winchester, Guildford, Farnborough, Portsmouth, Southampton and surrounding areas. This field-based role supports the water asset team to ensure drinking water networks are built to high standards.

You will audit construction activities, perform diagnostics on sites, and ensure regulatory compliance while liaising with developers and customers. Hybrid working is available for eligible roles.

Formación

• Experience in the water industry and customer facing roles.

Responsabilidades

• Act as escalation point and liaise with developers, customers and contractors.
• Engage with site stakeholders during planned and unplanned incidents.
• Maintain network quality and integrity via structured audit strategy.
• Audit construction activities related to IWNL water mains.
• Ensure compliance with legislation during customer site diagnostics.
• Ensure assets meet technical and regulatory IWNL standards.
• Undertake water sampling following outages per DWTS UKAS 17025.
• Attend meetings with site and construction personnel.
• Record internal and external pressure and flow readings.
• Perform any other tasks as required by the line manager.

Water Field Technician

We are ideally looking for candidates based in the Basingstoke area. This is a field based role covering areas such as Winchester, Guildford, Farnborough, Portsmouth, Southampton and surrounding areas.

Purpose of this role

To provide field support to the water asset team, by ensuring our water network is constructed and installed to a high standard, that our customers have wholesome drinking water and that the network is robust for the future.

Your key responsibilities are

• Act as the escalation point to liaise with developers / customers and contractors.
• Engage with site stakeholders where possible during both planned and unplanned incidents.
• Ensure that the quality and integrity of the network is maintained as part of a structured audit strategy.
• Audit and assess construction activities related to IWNL water mains.
• When on customer site through diagnostics or observation ensure compliance to relevant legislation surrounding the activity.
• Ensure that all assets comply with the technical and regulatory standards as detailed by IWNL.
• Undertake water sampling following an outage, in accordance with DWTS UKAS 17025 standard.
• To attend meetings with site and construction personnel.
• To complete internal and external pressure and flow readings.
• Any other tasks required by line manager.

Qualifications

• SHEA Water.
• CSCS or equivalent.

Experience / Knowledge

• Experience working within the water industry.
• Experience in a customer facing role.
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety standards and policies.

Abilities / Skills

• Positive and proactive attitude.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Desirable

• National water Hygiene.
• Confined spaces.
• Network/leakage qualification.

Conditions of Employment

• You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers' homes.You will be required to participate in a standby rota.You will hold a driving licence.
