EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
Here at Severn Trent, the Bioresources team are continuously looking at ways to maximise the quality & throughput of Severn Trent’s first ever Thermal Hydrolysis Plant which processes up to a third of Bioresources sludge/Bio solids.
Which is one of the reasons they have a new opportunity for a Quality Technician Team Leader to join an innovative, high performing team and play your part of Severn Trent’s largest sludge treatment facility. This is a 12 month maternity cover role.
You’ll be responsible for leading and managing a team of expert technicians undertaking sampling and scheduling of regulatory drinking water samples and other reactive samples for a wide range of chemistry/microbiology parameters.
You’ll also be tasked with owning and delivering effective resource management (manpower/equipment etc) within the team to achieve our key regulatory requirements. The planning horizon for this role is 12 months and budgetary responsibilities of £500K/annum.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
In order to succeed in the role as our new Quality Technician Team Leader you will need to have had experience in a regulatory environment in the Water Industry or similar Utility or Environmental Industries.
You must be able to demonstrate a high level of understanding of the principles and practice of analytical quality control along with having the technical knowledge and experience through an up-to-date CPD record covering regulation 16 criteria 1 – 16. If you have worked within an ISO17025 quality system this would be desirable.
This role involves travel; you’ll also need to hold a Full UK Driving Licence.
