Job summary

Galliford Try in Bristol is seeking a Design Production Lead for the Water Sector. You will be a key member of the Engineering Design Team, working with Design Delivery Managers and discipline engineers to deliver multi-disciplinary design outputs from inception to completion.

The role requires at least 5 years’ contracting or consulting experience, an Engineering degree, and working towards Chartered status.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ experience in contracting or consulting environment.
• Degree in Engineering (or equivalent).
• Working towards Chartered status desirable.
• Strong knowledge of multi-disciplinary engineering design and the Water industry.
• Commercial and contractual awareness.
• Effective leadership and management skills.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• IT proficient with Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; cost/performance management systems (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design solutions from inception to project completion.
• Ensure designs meet client specs and standards.
• Apply value and profitability focus to schemes.
• Comply with SHE policies, legal requirements and governance.
• Prepare budgets, programmes, and project reports.
• Identify resource requirements and manage team utilisation.
• Line manage multi-disciplinary engineers.
• Oversee milestone reviews (buildability, HazOp, CDM).
• Provide accurate reports on budgets, utilisation, earned value, and changes.
