Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced civil engineer to join our Water division in Reading, High Wycombe, or Cambridge. You’ll lead design across water/wastewater, networks, and urban drainage, guiding projects from concept to detailed design.

With a UK-focused track record, you’ll mentor junior engineers, collaborate with contractors on D&B projects, and help shape resilient infrastructure for communities.

Qualifications

• Experienced: solid track record of design experience within the UK water industry.
• Qualified: degree in Civil Engineering; ideally Chartered or Incorporated (ICE, CIWEM, or similar).
• Collaborative: enjoys working alongside project leads and mentoring developing engineers.
• Innovative: ready to seek sustainable, efficient solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead civil engineering design across Water/Wastewater treatment, networks, Storm Water overflows, and sustainable urban drainage.
• Tackle every project stage from asset planning and strategy to concept, outline, and detailed design.
• Collaborate directly with contractor partners on major D&B projects that move from the screen to the real world.
