Job summary

Stonbury in Bedford area is hiring Site Operatives to join our team, working across clean and wastewater sites. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts to a high standard and in a timely manner.

In return, you will receive £144.38 day rate for a 10-hour day, travel and overnight stays, 24 days’ annual leave (rising to 25 after two years), healthcare cash scheme, death in service benefit, Benifex

Qualifications

• Experience working on-site in a labouring role.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing materials and plant.
• Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner.
• Perform physical tasks such as timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application.
• Operate heavy machinery with CPCS training (e.g. diggers, dumpers, compressors).
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, including wearing full PPE.
