Job summary

Stonbury is recruiting Site Operatives for Baglan to work on potable water, wastewater and environmental sites. The New Starter Academy provides tailored, hands-on training to expand skills and secure a range of tickets.

You will report to the Site Supervisor and help deliver works on Water Utility contracts. Role requires unloading materials, handling and storage, basic construction tasks, and operating heavy machinery with CPCS training.

Qualifications

• On-site labouring experience and physical stamina.
• Willingness to travel with overnight stays and work across sites.
• Ability to lift, carry and move materials safely.
• Driving license is required to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, unloading and storing materials and plant.
• Store, handle and dispose of materials safely.
• Perform basic construction tasks and operate heavy machinery with CPCS training.
• Maintain a safe, tidy site and wear full PPE at all times.
• Follow safety handbook and training instructions.

We are recruiting for Site Operatives based in Baglan working on potable water, wastewater and environmental sites.

• £14.38 per hour with opportunities for price work

• Travel and overnight stays will be part of the role
• Must have a driving licence and car

We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.

What you'll be doing

Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering works on our Water Utility and Environmental Agency contracts.

• Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing of building materials and plant
• Store, handle, use and dispose of materials in the correct manner
• Perform physical tasks such as basic timber shuttering, drainage and kerb laying, material mixing and application
• Operate heavy machinery in conjunction with CPCS training e.g. diggers/dumpers/compressors
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment including wearing full PPE, at all times
• Follow the Company Safety Handbook, and all other safety instructions
• Follow all training and reasonable instructions given

Who we’re looking for

• Previous experience working on-site in a labouring role.
• Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ideally have a CSCS card.
• Ability to lift, carry and push equipment.
