Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Wastewater Site Inspector/Engineer to cover Midlands and South, based out of home and on-site with travel. You will inspect wastewater assets, report defects, and oversee adoption to ensure design compliance and quality across projects.

A full UK driving licence is required and you will work closely with developers and contractors to deliver high-standard wastewater infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of wastewater assets and the design/installation process.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, developers and contractors.
• Capable of reading and interpreting accurate “as-laid” drawings.
• Experience in drainage infrastructure construction and adoption processes.
• Knowledge of wastewater pump stations is beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Accurately report and identify remediation work required.
• Assist adoption managers with on-site queries and issues.
• Ensure wastewater assets are fit for adoption with proper documentation.
• Witness tests and ensure compliance with guidance.
• Plan and manage your own site inspection programme across construction sites.
