Job summary

Nijhuis Saur Industries UK & Ireland are seeking an Operations Technician to operate a brewery wastewater treatment plant and related equipment, ensuring water quality targets and continuous operations with discharge compliance.

You will support the Operations Manager and Lead Technician, cover shifts 06:00–22:00 Monday to Friday with alternating weeks and remotely monitor the plant on weekends as required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Plant.
• Experience in carrying out laboratory analysis.
• Experience maintaining mechanical equipment.
• Ability to interpret technical information to effect changes on the plant.
• Demonstrate ability to work within a quality system.
• Ability to complete basic repairs and maintenance.
• IT literate.
• All training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

• Operate a wastewater treatment plant to meet water quality targets.
• Drive operational excellence and suggest safety, reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Support the Operations Manager and Lead Technician.
• Carry out daily laboratory analyses of water samples.
• Maintain plant logs and gather data for process monitoring.
• Develop and maintain good housekeeping and risk assessments.
• Respond to emergencies and on-call requirements.
• Coordinate with client, NSI and subcontractor staff to ensure smooth operations.
