As we gear up to support Northumbria Water throughout AMP 8, we are interested in speaking with candidates open to future opportunities in the team.
You will be supported by your local team and industry experts across the Stantec community. We are delivering our Storm Overflows Academy to support staff development and engage other disciplines within our business to deliver our storm overflows agenda.
You will be a key member of an interdisciplinary team of 175 personnel across over 40 UK & Ireland offices and a global team in Pune, India. This is a great opportunity to work on specialist modelling frameworks and contribute to industry-leading projects. The role is based in our offices in Newcastle quayside, with a hybrid working pattern available for work-life balance.
Day-to-day activities include involvement in projects related to Storm Overflows, model maintenance, catchment management, operational investigations, studies, and assisting with bids and cost estimates. You will also help plan urban drainage projects, ensuring technical governance and best practices.

You will have a degree (or equivalent qualification) in Civil Engineering or a relevant field, and ideally be a member of an industry body such as ICE or CIWEM. Candidates should have experience in urban drainage modelling and knowledge of InfoWorks ICM and GIS packages.
You should demonstrate excellent communication skills through report writing, presentations, and industry contacts. Embodying our values of client focus and service excellence is essential.
