The Opportunity

It’s an exciting time for Stantec's water teams, with successful framework bids for AMP 8 and a major growth strategy for 2025 already underway.

We have been appointed to projects like United Utilities Design Development Partnership to improve water & wastewater networks and develop hydraulic models, Yorkshire Waters' Storm Overflow Alliance to reduce stormwater overflows, and Northumbrian Water’s Strategic Technical Partnership to enhance efficiency and sustainability.

These appointments, along with existing UK-wide client relationships, offer numerous challenging opportunities. We work from conception to delivery, driving innovation and excellence, and enabling our teams to develop broad skillsets while contributing to water quality, urban pollution management, and environmental commitments.

We are looking to appoint an Urban Drainage Modeller to join us in Leeds or Manchester. We offer flexible working, a strong project pipeline, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of 175 personnel across the UK and internationally, working on industry-leading projects and developing your expertise in specialist modelling frameworks.

About You

We seek candidates with a background in applying technical skills within the water industry, who have:

  • Degree qualification (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or relevant field
  • Proficiency in InfoWorks ICM
  • Experience in urban drainage environments
  • Membership in relevant institutions such as ICE or CIWEM

You should demonstrate excellent communication skills, report writing, presentation development, and industry networking abilities. Embodying our values of client focus and service excellence is essential.
