Wastewater Catchment Planner / Modeller / Engineer - Scotland Graduate Programme

RPS is growing, and we are looking to strengthen our Edinburgh and Glasgow offices with Graduate Wastewater Engineers, Modellers, and Planners.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop your career in an environment that recognizes your efforts and talent. We aim for a start date of September 2024 or earlier if possible.

The graduate roles in our strategy team combine office/home-based work with opportunities for site visits for data collection.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Data handling and analysis of large datasets
  • Survey planning and supervision
  • Use of GIS software such as MapInfo, QGIS, and ArcGIS
  • Statistical data analysis
  • Preparation of reports
  • Hydraulic sewer network modelling using InfoWorks ICM
  • Catchment modelling including interactions between rivers and sewers
  • Catchment planning, risk assessment, and intervention strategies
  • Client and stakeholder engagement
  • Development and documentation of software tools
About You:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
  • Modules in wastewater, hydraulics, GIS, or flood risk are desirable
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Teamwork and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with Excel and computing skills
