Wastewater Catchment Planner / Modeller / Engineer - London Graduate Programme

RPS continues to grow, and we are now looking to reinforce our London Office with Graduate Wastewater Engineers, Modellers, and Planners.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and progress in an environment where your efforts and talent are recognized. The start date is targeted for September 2024, or earlier if applicable.

The graduate roles in the strategy team will involve office and home-based work, with opportunities for site work for data collection.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Handling and analyzing large datasets
  • Planning and supervising surveys
  • Using GIS software such as MapInfo, QGIS, and ArcGIS
  • Conducting statistical data analysis
  • Preparing factual and interpretative reports
  • Building, verifying, and analyzing hydraulic sewer network models using InfoWorks ICM software
  • Engaging in integrated catchment modeling, including interactions between rivers and sewers
  • Planning catchment, assessing risks, and developing intervention strategies
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of bespoke software tools

About You:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
  • Modules in wastewater, hydraulics, GIS, or flood risk are desirable but not essential
  • Strong communication and written skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve meaningful problems
  • Proficiency in computing skills, including Excel
