Job Description:

RPS continues to grow, and we are now looking to reinforce our offices in Derby, Sheffield, and Newcastle with Graduate Wastewater Engineers, Modellers, and Planners.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and progress in an environment where your efforts and talent are recognized. We are looking at a start date of October 2024, or earlier if applicable.

The Graduate roles in our strategy team will combine office and home-based work, alongside industry professionals, with opportunities for site work for data collection.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Handling and analyzing large datasets
  • Survey planning and supervision
  • Using GIS software such as MapInfo, QGIS, and ArcGIS
  • Conducting statistical data analysis
  • Preparing factual and interpretative reports
  • Constructing and analyzing hydraulic sewer network models with InfoWorks ICM software
  • Performing integrated catchment modeling and risk assessments
  • Engaging with clients and stakeholders
  • Contributing to the development and documentation of bespoke software tools
About You:
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Geography, or Environmental Science
  • Modules in wastewater, hydraulics, GIS, or flood risk are desirable but not essential
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively to solve problems
  • Proficiency in Excel and computing skills
