Waste Yard Operative/Forklift Driver

Staffline has a great opportunity for a Waste Yard Operative/Forklift Driver to join our client based in Westerleigh.

Fantastic opportunity to work as a Waste Yard Operative/Forklift Driver for our client's busy distribution centre.

The rate of pay is £14.81 per hour.

This is a full-time role working fixed shifts, Monday to Friday, and the hours of work are:

1. 8am to 4:30pm

Your Time at Work

As a Waste Yard Operative, your duties will include:

1. Carrying out all deep cleaning requirements within the relevant working area
2. Loading and unloading/tipping dolavs of material and using the waste compactor
3. Be responsible for using and operating all tools and equipment to prescribed training standards
4. Effectively carry out day-to-day hygiene operations
5. Moving various different goods using a Counterbalance forklift
6. Stacking and loading boxes
7. Following Health and Safety on site
8. General housekeeping
9. Working as part of a larger team to meet customer requirements

Our Perfect Worker

Our perfect worker will be happy to work in a food processing environment, where you will be required to handle raw meat and work around blood in certain areas of the site.

You will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment while standing for the duration of your shift. You'll also be confident with lifting products that weigh up to 25kg regularly.

Maintain clean working practices to prevent slips and trips and avoid cross-contamination.

Valid forklift license and previous forklift experience in a similar role are desirable.
