Job summary
Grundon is hiring a Waste Transfer Operative in Bristol to safely operate the waste transfer facility and support KPI delivery. You will work under the Waste Transfer Manager and perform daily plant inspections, check waste deliveries for compliance, and ensure accurate records while maintaining a clean, safe site.
The role requires flexible hours and a proactive approach to safety and operational needs. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.
Qualifications
- Experience operating mobile plant such as forklifts, loading shovels and 360 excavators.
- Accurate documentation and clear written communication.
- Basic knowledge of the waste industry and safety regulations.
- Ability to work safely in busy, high-noise environments.
- Flexibility to cover extra hours when required.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate and inspect mobile plant and carry out planned maintenance tasks.
- Inspect waste deliveries for compliance with standards and regulations.
- Record non-conformances and report issues promptly.
- Load recovered materials and ensure loads are documented and photographed as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised site in collaboration with the team.
- Prioritise health and safety and use PPE correctly.
