Job Description

There are two posts available: one based at Richmond Street in Clydebank and the other at Elm Road in Dumbarton.

West Dunbartonshire Council aims to provide residents with a reliable refuse collection service. As a Refuse Collection Loader, you will ensure that refuse is collected regularly.

Your responsibilities include dealing politely with the public and providing assistance and advice when necessary. You will collect waste and load it into a refuse collection vehicle on a designated route, handling various waste types including residual waste and recycling materials. You will also assist drivers with vehicle manoeuvres and perform other related tasks. Compliance with safe work systems for refuse collection is required, and you should seek advice from the driver when needed.
