Job description

Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company, serving 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water daily through 32,000 km of pipes.

We are seeking a Waste Quality Technician to ensure wastewater standards meet all MCerts regulations and international standards through daily testing across our region.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collecting samples from various locations, including Water Treatment Works and trade customers, and conducting tests using provided equipment.
2. Managing sampling records and equipment to UKAS and DWI standards.
3. Planning workloads and monitoring programs in coordination with various teams.
4. Investigating supply issues and planning routes for sample collection.
5. Driving regularly, including in busy city centers and rural areas.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Organized, independent, and detail-oriented.
• Knowledge of or willingness to learn about the water industry.
• Computer literacy.
• Valid manual driving license and comfort with driving large vans.

Benefits:

• Hourly pay: £15.80
• Location: Mogden, Isleworth, TW7 7LW, mainly field-based around West London.
• Duration: 26 weeks
• Hours: 38 per week
