Job description

Vox Consultants are recruiting a Waste Porter for a Facilities Management Company.

Work Details:

  • 37.5 hours per week, shifts from 6am to 2pm or 2pm to 10pm.
  • Work schedule includes 5 out of 7 days a week.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Safely transport waste and recycling to designated disposal areas.
  • Operate on-site waste compaction equipment and check for contamination.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the refuse area, adhering to environmental and infection control standards.
  • Monitor waste equipment regularly and report faults or issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with the team for scheduled and ad-hoc waste collections.
  • Assist with portering duties, such as transporting medical equipment or specimens.
  • Ensure all duties comply with NHS policies on Health & Safety, Confidentiality, and Environmental Management.
