Job description

We are urgently requiring Waste Operatives to work on the refuse bins for our client in Rotherham. This will be part of the Waste Collection Team. Full time role 37 hours per week. Monday to Friday, possibly occasional Saturday.

Role

• Safely carry out waste collections across the Borough, including collection of all waste and recyclables from household and commercial properties
  
  

Requirements

• Experience of working within a waste collection environment, preferably kerbside waste/recycling collections and be able to operate as part of a team
• Ability to walk distances at a minimum of 8 to 10 miles per day as this is a physically demanding role, must be able to push and pull bins of various sizes over various distances and gradients in all weather conditions
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements in the workplace
