Aviation Recruitment experts Optime are searching for Waste Operatives to join a well-respected and successful client at Manchester Airport. Join our team and become an essential part of creating a clean and welcoming environment for travellers from around the world.

What’s on offer:

• Rate of Pay: £12,21 per hour
• Shift Pattern: 4-on/ 2-off
• Shifts: 06:00am to 14:00pm or 14:00pm to 22:00pm
• Weekly Pay (every Friday).
• Full Training provided.
• Immediate Start!
• Temp to Perm (performance related).

Key Duties:

• Change out all bins in both landside and airside areas of Manchester Airport
• Segregate waste materials in designated service yards according to recycling and disposal protocols
• Ensure that all waste collection, segregation, and disposal activities comply with environmental and safety regulations
• Manage and maintain Foreign Object Debris (FOD) bins and oil bins to ensure proper disposal of hazardous materials
• Monitor and report any issues related to waste management, bin collection, and hazardous waste to the supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all assigned areas
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient waste management operations
• Represent Mitie and Manchester Airport positively by providing excellent service and maintaining professional conduct at all times

Requirements:

• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and carrying heavy bins.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an airport ID, which includes passing necessary background checks and security clearances.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring high cleaning standards are consistently met.
• Great work ethic.
• Must be over 18.
• Previous airport and/or cleaning experience would be beneficial.
