Job summary

Clancy is seeking a Wastewater Operative to operate, maintain and supervise the safety of wastewater treatment facilities. You will report to a Team Leader and work with a team on multiple activities including excavations, Caissons, and sewer installations, while minimising disruption to residents and meeting project targets.

Ideal candidates have a driving licence and an NRSWA qualification; wastewater treatment experience is desirable, and a strong emphasis on safe operation is essential.

• Experience in wastewater treatment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes to ensure effective treatment.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to procedures and regulations.

• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment.
• Keep accurate records of daily operations, maintenance activities and incidents.
• Collaborate with team to achieve operational goals.

The Role

As a Wastewater Operative at Clancy, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and ensuring the safety of wastewater treatment facilities. You will be reporting to an experienced Team Leader and working within a team undertaking multiple activities. This includes; deep excavations, Caissons, installation of sewer pipelines and manholes, ensuring minimal disruption to residents, as well as meeting the projects target and deadlines.

• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment processes, ensuring effective treatment of wastewater.
• Prioritize safety by adhering to all procedures and regulations.
• Conduct routine inspections and tests to monitor and maintain water quality standards.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on equipment for facility longevity.
• Keep accurate records of daily operations, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
• Work closely with team members to achieve operational goals.

Previous experience in wastewater treatment is desirable. A full and valid driving licence, as well as an NRSWA qualification, are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude and possess a strong understanding of the importance of operating safely at all times.
