What You’ll be Doing as a Waste Manager

Are you a leader with an eye for detail and commitment to safety? We are seeking a reliable Waste Manager to lead our Environmental Recycling Unit (ERU).

• Lead the implementation of the Permitting within the waste processing site in Birmingham and aid and support the implementation of companywide waste management
• You will lead and facilitate a team of Recycling Operatives providing the full range of activities associated with the safe processing and disposal of fire extinguishers waste electronic equipment and other recyclable materials
• Train selected Recycling operatives such that they will be able to carry out the full range of Recycling Supervisor duties
• Ensure that the team is working within Health & Safety procedures, standards and requirements. Recording turn backs and near misses and proactively discussing with the Supply Chain Quality Manager preventive action for the future
• Contribute to achieving daily and monthly production targets as part of a team
• Undertake manual handling tasks in a production environment
• Follow work instructions meticulously and complete daily job sheets

WORKING HOURS:

• Monday – Thursday: 6:00 AM – 2:15 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Overtime may be required
