Waste Management Supervisor / Instructor

York - Centre based

Salary:

£28,000 - £30,000, depending on experience and qualifications

Type:

Full Time, Permanent

Criteria:

• Must hold a recognised qualification in Waste Management, Environmental Sustainability, or similar.
• Hold or be willing to work towards a WAMITAB qualification.
• Solid occupational experience within Waste Management / Recycling at Supervisory/Management level.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety standards, including risk assessments and safe handling practices.
• A passion for training and development.

Duties include:

• Leading and coaching a team responsible for Waste Management services, ensuring environmental goals are met.
• Supervising your team through the completion of WAMITAB qualifications.
• Overseeing the collection, processing, and disposal of waste materials, adhering to safety, security, and environmental policies.
• Conducting health and safety assessments and promoting safe work practices.
• Maintaining tools and equipment in compliance with relevant regulations.
