Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a part-time Waste Operative to support our facilities management operations. You will operate an electric towing vehicle to collect 1100L bins, manage general waste, dry mixed recycling and cardboard recycling, and maintain waste compounds.

The ideal candidate will hold a full UK driving licence, be physically fit, and able to complete forms and report issues from venues and collection points. Right to Work in the UK is required.

Responsibilities

• Utilising electric towing vehicle to collect/to 1100L waste bins.
• Manage general waste, dry mixed recycling and cardboard bins.
• Move bins to waste compound, empty into compactors and return to location.
• Operate general waste and dry mixed recycling compactors.
• Operate cardboard baler.
• Complete necessary forms.
• Monitor waste compound housekeeping and report issues.

About The Role:

Working Pattern

Friday-Sunday 06:00-14:30 (30minute Un-Paid break)

Key responsibilities:

• Utilizing electric towing vehicle -TUG to collect/ tow 1100L waste bins
• General Waste, Dry mixed recycling and Cardboard bins
• Collecting bins to and from site venues (back of house and storage areas) and take them to waste compound, empty bins to compactors and return back to original location
• Operate general waste and dry mixed recycling compactors
• Operate cardboard bailer
• Complete necessary forms
• Monitor and manage waste compound housekeeping etc
• Report any issues from venues/ collection points etc
• Manual handling of food and glass bins - 120L bins to and from collection points

The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:

• You must have Right to Work in the UK.
• Full training provided but previous experience in a similar role is preferrable.
• Attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Role requires a full driving license, this is essential.
• Must be physically fit as this is a active position.
