Job summary

Select Recruitment Specialists Ltd is seeking a Waste Porter for a healthcare site at Colney Lane, Norwich. You will move hospital stores and waste safely with electric vehicles, and you will receive, sort and prepare waste for collection. The role requires reliable, flexible individuals with good communication skills.

The position runs Mon-Fri, 07:00–15:00, on a temporary contract with training and support provided. Weekend work is not required and the environment is clean and professional.

Responsibilities

• Safely moving hospital stores and waste using electric vehicles
• Receiving, sorting, storing and preparing waste for collection
• Driving electric vehicles around designated areas while following Health & Safety procedures
• Carrying out pre-shift checks and reporting any vehicle faults
• Reporting Health & Safety hazards to the Team Leader
• Maintaining high standards of personal hygiene and infection control
• Completing relevant records and paperwork accurately
• Following Health & Safety, quality and hospital policies and procedures

The role

As a Waste Porter, you will help ensure waste and hospital logistics are moved safely and efficiently around the hospital site.

Your duties will include:

• Safely moving hospital stores and waste using electric vehicles
• Receiving, sorting, storing and preparing waste for collection
