Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Waste Lead Manager to drive sustainable waste management across its hospitals in Mid and South Essex. You will lead waste and grounds services, ensure regulatory compliance, optimise budgeting, and promote recycling initiatives within the Estates and Facilities team.

The role requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to manage external contractors while maintaining high service standards in a large healthcare

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge of waste & grounds service procedures, and level of education/experience as described.
• Any waste management qualification is desirable (CIWM).
• Experience with budget management in a large organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and delivery of MSE Waste and Grounds services.
• Monitor waste/grounds operations against national standards and budget allocations.
• Plan and organise service provision and develop plans in response to changing requirements.
