We are seeking an experienced and motivated Waste Coordinator to join our team in this newly created role. This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead in delivering high quality, efficient waste services to our community while driving improvements and overseeing key waste-related projects.

Job Description

As the Waste Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating, directing and monitoring the activities of our Waste team. You will ensure the delivery of effective and efficient waste collection, disposal, and recycling services while promoting innovation and environmental responsibility. In addition, you will manage a range of waste-related projects from planning through to delivery—ensuring they are completed on time, within scope and within budget.

To be considered for this role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Experience and/or knowledge in waste management and waste regulations
  • Demonstrated computer skills – basic/intermediate level in MS Office
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Regulations
  • Previous Contract Management experience

Knowledge/experience in a similar Local Government role and qualifications in waste management or environmental science will be highly regarded.
