Abri in the South-West is looking for a Waste Collection Operative to join our outdoor teams. You’ll collect bulky waste and recyclables, keep communal areas tidy and jet wash spaces, helping to maintain welcoming neighbourhoods.
You'll need a full UK driving licence for the vehicles you'll operate, and comfort with physical outdoor work in all weather. We prioritise respectful customer service and teamwork.
Help create communities where people can thrive
At Abri, we believe everyone deserves a clean, safe, and welcoming place to call home. We're looking for a Waste Collection Operative to join our team and play an important role in helping our communities look and feel their best across the South-West.
This is a hands-on, outdoor role where you'll see the difference you make every day. From collecting bulky waste and keeping communal areas tidy, to jet washing shared spaces, you'll help create environments that our customers can be proud of.
No two days are the same, but you’ll spend your time:
Collecting bulky waste, litter and recyclable items from our communities and ensuring they’re disposed of responsibly.
Keeping communal areas clean, tidy and welcoming for customers and visitors.
Jet washing communal pathways, bin stores and other shared spaces.
Working across our communities, providing a reliable service while treating customers, residents, and members of the public with respect.
Taking pride in helping to create places where people love living.
The work you do will have a visible impact on our communities every single day. By helping to keep shared spaces clean, safe and well cared for, you’ll contribute to creating a place where people feel comfortable, connected and proud to live.
We’re looking for someone who:
Holds a full UK driving licence with the appropriate categories for the vehicles you’ll be driving (essential).
Is confident driving larger wheelbase vehicles.
Enjoys working outdoors and is comfortable carrying out physical work in all weather conditions.
Takes pride in delivering a great service and putting customers first.
Communicates positively and respectfully with colleagues, customers and members of the public.
Enjoys working as part of a team and supporting others to achieve shared goals.
At Abri, you’ll be part of a supportive team that values the contribution you make. In return, we’ll provide a range of benefits to support your wellbeing, work-life balance and professional development, alongside opportunities to learn, grow and build your career with us.
