Job summary

Albert Bartlett is seeking a Washhouse Operator to join our potato processing facility. You will operate and maintain washhouse equipment, ensuring cleanliness and quality during the washing and preparation of products.

The role requires performing routine maintenance, following health and safety guidelines, and collaborating with the team to meet production targets in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a production or processing environment preferred but not mandatory.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices in a food manufacturing setting.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate washing machines and related equipment to ensure optimal cleaning of incoming potatoes.
• Monitor wash cycles and product quality, making adjustments as necessary.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on washhouse equipment to prevent downtime.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the washhouse area, adhering to company hygiene standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and maintain quality control throughout the process.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts as required, including weekends.
