Job Description:

As a Laundry & Dishwasher Installation and Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the professional installation, maintenance, and repair of commercial laundry equipment, focusing on plumbing, gas safety, and electrical components. The role requires qualifications in commercial & industrial gas safety and electrical systems, with the ability to lead installation projects. You will ensure equipment is installed and maintained to high standards, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

Liverpool or Lancashire & Surrounding areas

Contract type:

Permanent, Full Time 36.25 hrs/week (Mon-Fri)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and execute the installation of commercial laundry equipment, including chemical dosing systems, plumbing washing machines, dishwashers, and electrical components.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals for accurate installation.
  • Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation, and system testing per relevant codes.
  • Complete installations safely, efficiently, and to specifications.
  • Provide training to customers on operation and maintenance.
Maintenance and Repair:
  • Conduct routine preventive maintenance and resolve issues proactively.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults efficiently.
  • Respond to service calls with troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Keep records of maintenance activities.
  • Manage spare parts and tools.
Customer Service:
  • Build strong client relationships.
  • Respond professionally to inquiries and concerns.
  • Provide technical support and guidance.
Safety:
  • Follow safety regulations and policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments and safety measures.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:
  • Qualified to CCLNG1, CLE1, CONGLP1PD, and electrical qualifications (C&G, NVQ, or Level 3 Diploma).
  • Experience with commercial laundry & dishwasher equipment, especially chemical dosing systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift/move equipment.
  • Work in confined spaces.
  • Stand for long periods.
  • Travel to sites.
