Job Title: Warranty Analyst

Salary: £34,500 + (depending on experience)

Location: Peterborough

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Business Resources Finance team, based at our Peterborough facility. As a Warranty Analyst, you will partner with product team, warranty teams and other financial teams to understand our warranty cost across our product portfolio and our global manufacturing footprint.

What You Will Do

  • Develop combined CAT & Perkins Warranty Reporting
  • Support the Warranty Management Team in production of financial forecasting cycles
  • Provide guidance for financial analysis for the Warranty Team, considering risks & opportunities and profiling / forecasting
  • Provide guidance on technical accounting issues associated with Warranty such as Journals / CR/DR database / recharges between Profit Centres & Legal Entities
  • Present Financial Warranty analysis to Senior Leaders & Peers

Additional Info:

  • If you will be selected for the interview, these will happen wc 3rd November and will be face-to-face in Peterborough facility
  • This position requires the candidate to work a 5-day-a-week schedule in the office.

What You Have:

  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.
  • Data Gathering & Analysis: Knowledge of data gathering and analysis tools, techniques, and processes; ability to collect and synthesize data from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective manner to reach a conclusion, goal, or judgment.
  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviours.
  • Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
  • Financial Reporting: Knowledge of processes, methods, and tools of financial reporting; ability to create and maintain accurate and thorough financial reports and reconciliations.

Top candidates will also have

  • Experience and demonstrated capabilities in the use of analytics tool (e.g. Alteryx, PowerBI)
  • Experienced user of MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
  • Ability to problem solve and draw analytical conclusions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Good knowledge of accounting and financial accounting
  • Experience of Sarbanes-Oxley and/or other financial reporting governance controls
