Job summary

Highgate Care Services Ltd in Bridlington, East Riding of Yorkshire, is seeking a Domestic/Laundry Assistant on a permanent part-time basis (24hrs per week). You will help maintain cleanliness, handle laundry, and support residents with warmth and dignity in a small, person-centred care environment.

In this role you’ll operate washing and ironing equipment, keep spaces hygienic, and follow infection-control procedures. Experience in care is valued, but your caring personality matters most.

Qualifications

• Experience in a care setting is a bonus.
• Willingness to work some evenings and weekends.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and hygiene.

Responsibilities

• Collect, sort, and wash laundry items.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely.
• Fold, iron, and store laundered items.
• Clean designated areas including bedrooms and kitchens.
• Follow hygiene and safety standards.
• Report faulty equipment to supervisor.
