Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant on a bank basis at Esher Manor Care Home in Esher. You’ll support catering in food preparation and maintain a clean environment to ensure safe production of meals for residents.

The role requires a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH, and the ability to work flexibly with a compassionate, resident-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving & Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.

Responsibilities

• Understanding the principles of safe food handling to ensure high standards of hygiene.
• Contributing to team working and responding positively to colleagues.
• Advising on the supply and quality of items used to carry out tasks and ordering replacement goods as needed.
• Acting towards residents and their visitors with dignity and respect.
