Job summary

NATO Headquarters Allied Maritime Command (HQ MARCOM) in Northwood, Middlesex, UK, is seeking a Staff Assistant to support Wargaming and Modelling & Simulation within a fixed-term three-year appointment. The role sits in the Plans Directorate and will help activate capability and assist operational planning.

The successful candidate will have at least three years of administrative experience and experience with wargaming/M&S tools, plus relevant vocational credentials.

Qualifications

• At least three years professional experience in an administrative role in an office setting.
• Experience in employing wargaming and M&S computer tools.
• Higher Secondary education and completed higher vocational training leading to a formal technical or professional certification with 3 years function related experience, or Secondary education and completed advanced vocational training leading to a professional qualification or professional accreditation with 5 years post related experience.

Responsibilities

• Enable and enhance MARCOM's Wargaming, Modelling and Simulation capability and Operations Planning functions.
• Work with stakeholders across the organisation to activate W, M&S capability and support operational planning.
• Provide system administration and support for Wargaming, Modelling and Simulator and Operational Planning tools.
• Coordinate MARCOM's Wargaming, Modelling and Simulation capability and Operational Planning Branch.
