Job description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading Parcel Courier client based in the Washington area.

Keep in mind that this is an Ad Hoc position, and only apply if you are seeking Ad Hoc work.

Shifts:
Sunday to Friday - 14:00 - 22:30 (Shifts will vary in length 7-10hrs)

Availability:

• Part time.
• Ad-hoc.

Location: Washington – NE37

The role:

• Sort and organize incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
• Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
• Ensure proper labelling and categorization of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
• Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
• Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimizing space utilization.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
• Team player with excellent communication skills.
• Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
• Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
