Job summary

Amarr, part of ASSA ABLOY, seeks a reliable Warehouse Associate for our Birmingham, AL location. The role involves unloading and inspecting items, staging and loading for customers, and occasional deliveries in a 26’ box truck.

You will also help with inventory control and damage prevention in a physically demanding environment. The position runs full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM, with occasional overtime and a pay range of $19–$21 per hour based on skills, experience, and training.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license and one year of driving experience.
• Ability to perform heavy repetitive lifting (50–75 lb) and long periods of movement.
• Must pass DOT requirements including physical, background check and MVR per Amarr standards.
• Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines.
• Demonstrated history of steady employment.

Responsibilities

• Unload and inspect incoming product (50–75 lb) by hand.
• Pull, stage, and load product for customers while delivering excellent service.
• Provide deliveries in a 26’ box truck as needed.
• Assist with inventory and damage control.

In this position you will:

• Unload and inspect incoming product (this can be between 50-75lb) mostly by hand
• Pull, stage, and load product for customers, while providing excellent service
• Provide deliveries in a 26’ box truck as needed
• Assist with inventory and damage control

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old and have a valid driver’s license, with at least one year of driving experience
• Requires heavy repetitive lifting (50-75lb) and constant movement
• Must be able to pass all DOT requirements, including physical, background screening, and a MVR that must meet Amarr driver standards
• Must be able to read and speak English per DOT guidelines
• Demonstrated history of steady employment

The Details:

This position is full-time Monday - Friday from 7a-3:30p with the occasional overtime. The pay rate is $19-21 based on, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications. Addition compensation can include driving bonuses and target bonuses.
