Overview

Warehouse & Transport Manager - Sector: Manufacturing (non-food). Location: Suffolk. Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent. Salary: GBP48,000 per annum. Hours: Monday to Friday - days.

Here at iSQ Recruitment, we are delighted to support a major global packaging manufacturer in their search for an experienced Warehouse & Transport Manager. In this role, you’ll oversee warehouse efficiency, manage transport logistics, ensure safety and compliance, and drive continuous improvement across supply chain functions.

Key Duties

• Ensure a safe working environment, overseeing health & safety, permits, risk assessments, and site traffic management.
• Maintain high operational standards including 6S and compliance across warehouse and transport activities.
• Oversee stock control, including receiving goods, cycle counts, and monthly reporting on raw materials, finished goods, and quality issues.
• Manage relationships with transport providers, support tenders, and drive performance through KPIs such as FIFO, MOTIF/DOTIF, and capacity usage.
• Investigate and resolve delivery errors, raise NPRs, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments and support customer services with logistics and stock queries.
• Ensure effective operation of company vehicles and compliance with internal controls and procedures.

Key Criteria

• Minimum 3 years' experience in a warehouse and/or transport management role (essential).
• Experience in team leadership or personnel management (essential).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (essential).
• Forklift and HGV licences (desirable).
• Experience with Navision or similar ERP systems (desirable).
