Job description

Pay Rate: £30,750+ Overtime

Grade: O
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Shift patterns: Mon - Fri

Location: Northampton - NN4 9BD

We are looking for a MHE (Material Handling Equipment) Warehouse Trainer who will be responsible for ensuring warehouse staff are properly trained on the safe and effective use of MHE, including forklifts, reach trucks, and other equipment.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

  • Identify, coordinate, and conduct all warehouse training requirements
  • Produce and update training materials and packages
  • Organise and deliver effective training sessions both in the classroom and on the job
  • Conduct on-the-job inductions for new colleagues
  • Review, identify, plan, and conduct ongoing training for all colleagues on site
  • Monitor and review training effectiveness through questionnaires and feedback
  • Develop a culture of respect and high performance
  • Promote DHL core values and act as a role model
  • Perform induction training for new colleagues

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • Train the trainer qualification (MHE Certified RTITB, ITSSAR, or equivalent)
  • Wider skill set (inbound & outbound picking, loading/unloading trailers, Tc57 scanners)
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to handle competing demands in a busy environment
  • Experience and knowledge in WMS (desirable)
  • Availability to work Mon-Fri, with occasional weekend and holiday cover
