Role Title: Warehouse Team Member – Tray Band Operative

Annual Salary: £23,492.04

Working Hours: Day shiftMonday – Friday 37 hours per week. 8am to 17:15 Monday to Thursday green period. Monday -Thursday 7:45am - 17:15pm and Friday 7am-15:00 in red period and 8am-17:15pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 7am till 1pm in yellow period.

Location:Canal Street, South Wigston, LE18 4PQ

What will this role achieve?

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Members – Tray Band Operative which is a permanent position to join our team. As a Warehouse Team Member – Tray Band Operative your main responsibility is to ensure that the standards of the pallets from the tray wash is to manufacturing standards and moving the trays to the relevant areas by using the pump trucks.

The role requires a proactive individual with a ‘can do’ attitude who is committed to maintaining high standards in the Warehouse whilst working as part of a dynamic team.

You will be required to stand in as a Grade 1 Tray Wash Operative as and when required.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Ensure the trays are stacked correctly

  • Support the production plan effectively with quality being the priority.

  • Lead health and safety standards within the area to ensure all work safely.

  • Ensure all health and safety standards are adhered to.

  • Deliver products to the defined standard specifications.

  • Use of Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.

  • Deliver the Warehouse plan to maintain customer service levels.

  • Demonstrate good communication skill.

  • Physical role – walking around the factory along with stacking trays and moving them with a pump truck

  • Additional ad-hoc duties as and when required.

Grade 1 stand in responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient running of Tray wash

  • To ensure that consumables for the area are reported when reaching minimum level.

  • Ensure that all pre use checks are completed and records are up to date

  • Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices, HACCP and safety at work procedures.

  • Will demonstrate a willingness to work in a team environment and possess a positive attitude to change.

  • Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative

  • We’re looking for people who are open to working flexibly and feel comfortable adapting to a fast-moving environment—with support available to help you succeed.

  • Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Desirable

  • Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators

What does the recruitment process consist of?

Assessments – Swift Comprehensive Aptitude and a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 60 minutes to complete.

Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
