Job summary

QVC UK is hiring for a Hygiene Operative in the Returns area of our Distribution Centre. You will help maintain high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment and support efficient operations. This is a hands-on role with cleaning, waste disposal and palletised box handling.

Full training on material handling equipment will be provided; you must be 18+ and able to communicate effectively. Punctuality and adherence to health and safety policies are essential in this role.

Responsibilities

• Dispose of waste and empty bins into the waste compactor.
• Operate a baling machine following recycling policy.
• Sweep designated areas with mechanical cleaning equipment and brushes.
• Perform routine and emergency cleaning to maintain a safe area.
• Collect palletised boxes.

• We have an exciting opportunity for you to work within the Returns area of our Distribution Centre in the role of Hygiene Operative, to ensure that the Returns department is maintained to high standards of house-keeping in order to provide a safe working environment.

What You'll Do

• Dispose of all waste material generated during shifts including, emptying Industrial bins into the waste compactor
• Use a bailing machine in line with QVC's recycling policy
• Conduct routine sweeping of designated work areas using mechanical cleaning machine and manual brush
• Perform emergency cleaning duties as assigned & prioritise workload to ensure a safe working area is maintained, adhering to daily housekeeping checklist
• Collection of palletised boxes

What You'll Bring

• Don't worry if you have not got any warehouse experience as you will receive full MHE training and support, as you will use trucks, all applicants must be at least 18 years old.

• Good time management and prioritisation
