Job summary

pladis Global in Wigston is seeking a Warehouse Team Member / FLT Driver to join our busy warehouse. You will ensure pallets are clearly labelled and dispatched to the Midlands Distribution Centre, while managing in-perfect products and maintaining high standards.

Responsibilities

• Label pallets clearly and ensure dispatch readiness.
• Record and dispatch in-perfect product correctly.
• Operate automated wrapping machine.
• Support production plan with quality as priority.
• Lead health and safety standards in the area.
• Deliver products to defined standard specifications.
• Maintain the Warehouse plan to uphold customer service levels.
• Walk around factory, office and warehouse to check standards.
• Perform general ad-hoc warehouse duties.

Role Title: Warehouse Team Member / FLT Driver

Salary: £25,977.33

Working Hours: Day shift Monday – Friday 37 hours per week. 8am to 17:15 Monday to Thursday green period. Monday -Thursday 7:45am - 17:15pm and Friday 7am-15:00 in red period and 8am-17:15pm Monday to Thursday and Friday 7am till 1pm in yellow period.

Location: Canal Street, South Wigston, LE18 4PQ

What will this role achieve?

We are looking for a Warehouse Team Member / FLT Driver to join our team. Your main responsibility is to ensure that the pallets going out are clearly labelled and meet requirements and dealing with in-perfect products

Must have a can do attitude and committed to maintaining high standards in a dynamic team.

What will be your key deliverables?

• Ensuring the pallets from assortments are labelled and ready to be dispatched to Midlands Distribution Centre for distribution.

• Ensure that in-perfect product is recorded and dispatched correctly.

• Working on an automated wrapping machine

• Support the production plan effectively with quality being the priority.

• Lead health and safety standards within the area to ensure all work safely.

• Deliver products to the defined standard specifications.

• Deliver the Warehouse plan to maintain customer service levels.

• Show good communication skill.

• Physical role – walking around the factories/ office/ Warehouse.

• General ad-hoc Warehouse duties

Essential

• Have an understanding of good manufacturing practices, HACCP and safety at work procedures.

• Will show a willingness to work in a team environment and own a positive attitude to change.

• Be able to multi-task and have the drive and tenacity to work under your own initiative

• We’re looking for people who are flexible and comfortable in a fast-paced environment. Support is available to help you succeed.

• Maintain high standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

• Additional ad-hoc duties as and when required.

• Counterbalance and PPT licence will be provided if required

• Understand zonal Key Performance Indicators

What does the recruitment process consist of?

Assessments – Error Checking Aptitude and a Workplace English assessment. These should take around 60 minutes to complete.

Interview – 45-60 minute competency-based interview based on our company values and your experience.
