Job description

Business growth and a management structure mean we are delighted to be able to recruit 3 new members to the management team at Thamesmead DC.

Warehouse Team Managers support the site management team in the efficient and cost-effective management of warehouse operations.

It will be your responsibility to ensure the smooth running of daily warehouse operations and to enable the required level of service to be provided to the customer at all times.

You will ensure that the receiving, storing, picking, and dispatch of goods are carried out correctly, achieving agreed productivity levels and within budgetary constraints, while maintaining a safe working environment through effective team management.

To be successful in this role, you should have working knowledge of warehouse functions within the FMCG distribution industry, as well as an understanding of the business and operational aspects of supervising a depot warehouse. General knowledge of the transport function would be advantageous.

As a team leader, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to manage and train colleagues. Proficiency in MS Office suite is essential for reporting and formal disciplinary processes.

We have vacancies across the following shifts:

  1. AM shift: 06:00 - 14:00, any 5 days over 7
  2. PM shift: 14:00 - 22:00, any 5 days over 7
  3. NS shift: 22:00 - 06:00, any 5 days over 6
