Warehouse Team Leader (Nights)

We are recruiting for an experienced Team Leader to join the logistics operation of an international shipping company on the outskirts of Castle Donington. In this role you will be responsibility for the smooth and efficient running of the night shift ensuring all freight movements in and out the depot are carried out safely and according to plan. This position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis in which a permanent contract will be offered after qualifying time period.

Day to Day includes:

  • Leading the warehouse team on the night shift to ensure all freight is loaded and unloaded according to process and supporting admin/paperwork is completed.

  • Ensure the team is working safely and according to Health and Safety regulations including the handling of dangerous goods.

  • Coaching and supporting the team to continuously improve, identify any training requirements and action these areas.

  • Meeting productivity KPI's.

  • Liaising with other internal departments and external customers to give update and resolve issues.

  • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness within the warehouse.

  • Deputizing and providing ADHOC holiday/absence cover for senior management.

About you:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in at supervisory or management level in a logistics/supply chain environment.

  • Experience in hands on management of high volume and diverse teams.

  • Proficient in using WMS systems and Microsoft Suite.

  • IOSH certified.

  • Takes initiative, ability to manage and prioritize your own workload and that of your team.

  • Confident communicator.

  • Professional and approachable demeanor.

  • Fluent English both verbal and written.
