About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety. You will supervise a team of warehouse operatives, manage workloads, and maintain high operational standards in line with company targets and KPIs.

About You

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate daily warehouse activities including goods in, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
  • Allocate workloads and monitor staff performance to meet or exceed targets.
  • Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements (COSHH, manual handling).
  • Provide training, support, and coaching to staff.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels and inventory accuracy.
  • Conduct audits and risk assessments.
  • Coordinate with transport teams, suppliers, and other departments for smooth operations.
  • Identify and suggest process improvements for increased efficiency.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation.
  • Assist the Warehouse Manager with additional duties as needed.

Person Specification:

  • Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures including inventory control and stock management.
  • Understanding of health and safety standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office.
