Warehouse Team Leader

Location: Rochester

Salary: GBP 32k

Working Days: Monday to Friday

My client is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to join their team! Whether you have leadership experience or are looking to take the next step from an Operative to Team Leader, you will be considered for this position. Leading a small team of 4 operators, it’s a great progression opportunity for someone new to a leadership role!

Key Duties include:

• Leading a small team to ensure all duties are carried out effectively
• Operating forklifts and preparing orders to support the workload of the team
• Optimizing warehouse space by planning racking and stock allocation
• Managing stock returns, including documentation and liaising with other teams
• Ensuring correct labeling and placement of raw materials
• Covering for the Supervisor in their absence
• Performing any other duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse environment with longevity in roles
• Forklift licenses for counterbalance and reach truck are highly advantageous but not essential
• Strong communication skills to lead a team effectively
• Understanding of IT stock control systems
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to think on your feet
