We are seeking a proactive and organised Warehouse Team Leader to join our client s busy warehouse operation based in Rochester. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in warehouse supervision ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement and storage of goods, ensuring high standards of safety and accuracy are upheld across all warehouse operations. You will also provide supervisory cover in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure products are moved and stored safely and in line with company standards
Plan and optimise warehouse space (racking and floor) for maximum utilisation
Manage and document stock returns, liaising with QA and Supply Chain teams
Ensure all incoming raw materials are labelled and stored correctly per instructions
Maintain strict health and safety practices at all times
Provide cover for the Warehouse Supervisor as needed
Support the Operations and Supply Chain teams with additional duties as required
Skills & Experience Required:
Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader or Supervisory role
Ideally from a food manufacturing background
Knowledge of warehouse environments and IT stock control systems
Accurate record-keeping and strong attention to detail
Valid Counterbalance and High Reach forklift licences with hands-on experience
Excellent communication and team leadership skills
Able to delegate, motivate, and problem-solve effectively under pressure
