Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is recruiting for a prison-based warehouse role inside HMP Wymott, Preston. This permanent, full-time position runs 07:30–16:30, 40 hours per week, with occasional weekend work.

The role involves handling and distributing items inside a secure environment, with supported vetting requirements. You will lead within a prison setting, handling picking and packing tasks in a fast-paced operation while ensuring accuracy and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3 years UK address history required for security clearance.
• Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations.
• Comfortable working inside a prison, alongside offenders.
• Hands on and willing to get stuck into warehouse tasks.
• Full UK driving license and own transport.

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process.

This isn't a standard warehouse role. At DHL Supply Chain, we run warehouse operations inside prisons supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. This service allows offenders to use their own money to buy approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials — with our teams responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
