Job description

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting an experienced Warehouse Supervisor with previous experience in a fast-paced distribution centre environment, specifically as a Supervisor or Team Leader in the Goods In team, to join our busy client in Luton. This role initially is a 12-week temporary position on Interaction Recruitment's payroll. After this period, the successful candidate may join our client on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract. Please note, the role may become full-time depending on circumstances, but this cannot be guaranteed at present.

The Working Hours:

Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00

Pay Rate:

£14.50 per hour + Holiday

Role Responsibilities:

1. Safely receive products, including returns
2. Check against delivery notes / Purchase Orders
3. Book in and put away stock
4. Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflows in the Goods In area
5. Lead the team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture
6. Drive Health & Safety initiatives and ensure compliance
7. Maintain stock accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly
8. Train, develop, and support the team
9. Communicate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders

Candidate Requirements:

1. Previous experience as a Goods In Team Leader or Supervisor
2. Reach / Counterbalance forklift licence
3. Proven experience in warehouse operations and leadership
4. Strong Health & Safety knowledge and a track record of safe practices
5. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems
6. Strong problem-solving and communication skills
7. Hands-on leadership style with a focus on collaboration
8. Physical ability to manage warehouse activities (standing, lifting up to 20kg)
